H4K – IT is proud to announce Tanzania’s first National cybersecurity CTF competition with Cyber Talent.  We have managed to become the supporting partner of Trend Micro and CyberTalent to make this competition’s happen.

The competition would be fully online which would take place in CyberTalents web site. Participants are required to register for the competition before the 17th September 2020 since the competitions begine on that date.

The winning team will be eligible to compete in regional and international CTFs representing Tanzania. The CTF will be a Jeopardy Style CTF where every team will have a list of challenges in different categories like Reverse Engineering, Web Security, Digital Forensics, Network Security, and others. For every challenge solved, the team will get a certain amount of points depending on the difficulty of the challenge. The team who will get the highest score at the end of the day will be the winning team

Participants should register their teams before the date of the competition 17th  September 2020.  Each team in the competition should make sure that their members are Tanzanian’s . The minimum members of each group is 2 and the maximum is 4, Participants should adhere to the rules, if not the the team that broke the rules shall be terminated from the competitions.

RULES OF THE CTF

Rules concerning the platform are included.

– Sharing the flags between different teams is prohibited.

– Brute Force attacks on the challenges submission portal or challenges links are not allowed.

– Any attack against the site or the hosted servers will be observed and the player will be banned from participating in the CTF immediately.

– Organizers have the permission to disqualify teams for any unethical behavior or any trials to interrupt the CTF.

PRIZES

The top 3 teams will be qualified for the Arab and Africa Regional Cybersecurity CTF on 10th October

Cyber Talent has placed public challenges which participants can practice on their skills while they are waiting for the National Competition to begin, if you might be interested in getting acquainted with the challenges please feel free to do so by clicking in the button bellow.

    1. Yes I would recommend the following
      1. write on things that really inspire you to write
      2. always strive for simplicity
      3. when talking about a topic make sure that you cover everything, people would like to find everything and anything on a single blog, personally would spend hours reading on various blogs just to formulate what I’m looking for but if you can manage to write a blog that if someone wants something can get everything on your blog your good to go
      4. there is no such thing as the perfect moment just start writing
      5. Always strive to perfect your writing, first you may start out low but the more you progress the more your writing becomes better
